Actually, I find it a bit comforting that there will be a day when you’re not remembered. The things that you messed up won’t matter to anyone in the end, and the things that made you happy will have lifted you up when you needed them to. This message means that since you won’t last forever, it’s important to do the things you enjoy doing now while there’s time. A hundred years from now, people won’t still be around to say “he listened to that stupid music,” or “she wore such slutty clothes.” People’s opinions of you won’t last forever, so you can’t live your life thinking they matter. I guess what I’m trying to say is that you should surround yourself with what delights you now, because in the end, all that matters is that you managed to enjoy your life and helped others enjoy theirs. :)
